The ER Tool enables you to create a database graphically. It follows standard methodology for data modeling. However, unlike traditional data modeling tools, FlexiDB creates the database as it is modeled. There is no need to make a model and then use SQL code to create the underlying database as FlexiDB does this automatically.
FlexiDB automatically creates default queries and forms. Queries are used to view data, whereas forms are used to add or edit existing data. You can leave these as is, or use the query and form editor to make changes, for example to the fields or ordering. The query editor can also create join queries and handle aggregate functions.
FlexiDB also provides editors for user roles and subscriptions. Roles give different levels of access to different types of people. For example, managers can have different access rights from a standard employee. When a user subscribes to a database, the admin determines which user role is appropriate.
